Box within we meant to contain 4 bits. But was missing something and clearly had been tampered with! Cannot return item due to opening with a 4 yr old, I can’t exactly tell him it’s got to go back!

I work at a primary school and we have a large old tree in the middle of what we call the 'quiet area' outdoors - for the children who are less interested in haring around the playground. We have a new intake of children arriving in September and they always seem so tiny when they start! I think they'll really enjoying seeing this set up around the quiet area tree. I have a tiny metal and bead 'angel' making kit and I'll hang a few of those high up in the tree to add to the theme! I have to say this set is a youngster's dream! When my son was tiny we used to find a big old tree when we went out for walks and find 'fairy furniture' in there (acorn cups etc) and pretend we had to be quiet so we wouldn't scare them. If we'd come across a proper set like this he'd have been in imagination heaven! It's got lots to enjoy and play with. If it's in your home garden you can make an arrangement they can play with more - rearranging, making potions etc. So that we don't 'lose' bits I may have to attach everything to the tree with a suitable adhesive, but they'll enjoy seeing it. If you have a birthday coming up for a little one this would make a lovely gift. It comes very well boxed and protected with tissue paper, and they'd be thrilled to open it up and find all the magical things in there. If you have little visitors to your house you could set it up in a corner of the garden for them to discover! I'd have loved it when I was little (I still do!).

A very sweet little fairy garden. You also get a wee broom and a ladder, not shown in the pictures, but no garden fence as seen in their photos. For £22, there is lot here. Be careful when you open the larger of the two boxes as the 'path' fell out of the back, nothing was holding it in, had I been standing up, it may have broken (i.e. hitting a hard concrete floor outdoors). If I had received this as a child it would've been my pride and joy, so much fantasy play could've been enjoyed! The packaging is very cheap and cheerful, but that's okay for young children, as the contents are the important bit. The packaging just ends up in the bin. I do hate polystyrene though, really puts my teeth on edge. I guess this is meant to be left outside, no idea how it will weather (the wooden door will begin to look outdoorsy!), it looks like resin, so might split if the temperature drops low, so I would think it best to bring it indoors for winter/cold/wet weather. Get a wee bit of fake grass and make an indoor fairy garden! Children really do get just about everything they wish for these days! Trouble is, when they get older, they think it is normal.... work... what's that.... nah, I'll just be an influencer and phaff on instagram all day...!
